In December 2004, a terrifying tsunami lashed the Srilanka. Thousands of victims, orphans, destroyed homes. Screw swept away. Screw need rebuild. The show that I saw, the devastation, he also discovered other scenarios. An ancient culture, however attractive full of contrasts. I turned the region between the beaches and fields of tea, orphanages and monasteries,asylums and tents. I met a gentle and educated population, poor and generous, sweet and violent. Left to itself, but proud.

Nel dicembre del 2004 uno spaventoso tsunami si scagliò sullo Srilanka. Migliaia di vittime, orfani, case distrutte. Vite spazzate via. Vite da ricostruire. Lo spettacolo che mi si mostrò davanti , la devastazione, scoprì anche altri scenari. Una cultura antichissima, attraente però ricca di contrasti. Ho girato la regione tra spiagge e campi di tè, orfanotrofi e monasteri, manicomi e tendopoli. Ho incontrato una popolazione mite ed educata, povera e generosa, dolce e violenta. Abbandonata a sé stessa, ma fiera.
